San Francisco International Airport’s on-airport parking is not for the faint of heart, but it can be managed if you’re prepared ahead of time. Because you can’t reserve parking spaces at SFO, it’s highly advisable to check lot availability before attempting to park at any of the airport garages. To check the lot availability, visit www.flysfo.com/to-from/parking.

Vehicles over 8’2” cannot be accommodated in this garage.

ParkVALET
If you’re looking to splurge and want to make sure your car is taken care of properly while you’re away, you’ll appreciate the options offered at the ParkVALET. It’s also helpful for those running behind, as you can just drop your car off without having to look for a parking space. Located on the fourth level of the Domestic Parking Garage, there are paid car care and laundering services as well as free drinks and snacks.

Cell Phone Waiting Lot:
If you’re unsure of when someone is flying in or waiting on a call to swoop in for a pick-up, this lot is the one you’ll want to take advantage of; it’s open from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m. and allows you to wait for 60 minutes free of charge. Your vehicle must be attended at all times.
Charging stations:
For those with electric vehicles, SFO provides free electric charging stations. You can find these charging stations in each domestic garage on Level 1, in international parking and in long-term parking.
If you want to park in an on-airport lot overnight while you’re away, you’ll need to park your car in the designated long-term parking garage. The SFO long-term parking garage is located at: 806 South Airport Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94128. There is a shuttle that will take you from the long-term parking lot to your terminal, but be sure you arrive at the airport early, so you have adequate time to get to the airport.
You may notice that the long-term parking rates are only slightly lower than the daily rates when parking at SFO. Instead of paying the high prices of off parking on-airport, budget-savvy travelers often utilize off-airport parking lots. These lots, a few miles away from the terminal, typically include a free shuttle service to the airport and discounted long-term parking. They’re perfect for short stay and long stay parking.
At AirportParking.com, we search through countless lot providers to bring you the best options to choose from. You can even read through real customer reviews to determine which lot will suit your needs best. To see what options are available for reliable parking lots near SFO, visit the Parking Lot Options section.
Bundle Packages
An increasingly popular option for traveling families and business professionals is a “park and fly” bundle. Also known as “park sleep fly” bundles, these packages are created by airport hotels who offer one night’s stay at their SFO hotel with airport parking. They’re often the same price or less than the price of standalone airport parking and give travelers the chance to catch up on last-minute projects or catch a little sleep before an early or long flight. They typically also include free shuttle service to the airport, creating a seamless transition for airport-goers.
ParkSleepFly.com makes finding these deals easy, and we’ve listed some of the best and cheapest SFO airport parking deals below.

Grabbing a taxi from the airport is easy when you find the taxi line up in the center island.
Although using rideshare services has become a popular way to get to and from airports, not all airports allow for rideshare cars to operate on their property. Additionally, Lyft and Uber users taking a car in or out of the SFO airport will see an extra airport surcharge. Rideshare drop-offs for passengers taking an Uber or Lyft to SFO will remain curbside, similar to a drop-off from a friend, pick-ups from ride-sharing services will change from time-to-time. Be sure to follow the instructions on the app for where to meet your Uber from SFO.
