Need to charge your electric vehicle? There are EV charging stations in the Red and Blue ramps of Terminal 1-Lindbergh’s Daily Parking. There are also electric charging stations in the Orange ramp of Value Parking.
The Quick Ride Ramp is the best option for long-term parking at MSP. You do have to take a shuttle to get to the airport, and the shuttle will only take you to Terminal 1-Lindbergh. Make sure you’ve planned. It’s important to note that parking in the Minneapolis airport cannot go over 45 days. If you need to park for longer or are just looking for a cheap parking deal for airport parking, you’ll definitely want to look into off airport parking lots. These lots are close to the airport and offer parking at much lower rates. They often include a free shuttle to the airport.

Car Services
Car services are typically not the cheapest option to get to and from MSP. If you’re in a pinch, the taxi service at MSP can be found at Level T of Terminal 1 and at Ground Transport Center of Terminal 2. Just taking a taxi from the Minneapolis airport will tack on around $6 to your fare. The rate for a cab to downtown Minneapolis will be between $40-$50. Getting to downtown St. Paul will cost a bit less at $30-$40.
Some travelers take Uber or Lyft to MSP. This is an easy way to get to the airport and typically costs less than it would be to take a taxi. When getting dropped off by a rideshare service, you’ll be dropped off at your terminal of choice at the Departures area. If you’re taking a Lyft or Uber from MSP Terminal 1 you’ll want to wait at the Green Parking Ramp on Level 2. If you’re being picked up from Terminal 2, you’ll wait at the Ground Transport Center on the Purple Parking Ramp’s ground level.

Public transportation
Light Rail Transit
The light rail station runs every 10-15 minutes and stops at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 so you won’t have to transfer between the two terminals. The train connects to downtown Minneapolis, the Mall of America and 15 other stops.
Public Bus Service
Terminal 1-Lindbergh has a city bus stop at the Upper East Roadway. There is no bus stop at Terminal 2-Humphrey, so all passengers from Terminal 2 must take the light rail to Terminal 1 to use the bus service. The city bus Route 54 runs to and from Terminal 1 of MSP.
Picking Up At MSP
When picking up friends and family from MSP, you can always wait at the Cell Phone Waiting Lot for free. It’s especially useful for those who plan to do a quick curbside pick-up or during flight delays.
Inside MSP
Inside the Minneapolis airport, there are more than 100 places to shop, eat and drink. If you’re looking to get away from loud talkers, Terminal 1 has two designated Quiet Seating Areas where like-minded people can gather.
