Car Services

Boston Logan Public Transportation
The MBTA’s Silver Line Bus and Blue Line Subway services take passengers to and from the Logan Airport. The Silver Line SL1 Bus is free for passengers traveling from the airport to South Station. From there, you can transfer to the Red Line.  

The Blue Line Subway connects passengers to the Orange Line at the State Street Station. The Massport shuttle buses transfer passengers between airport terminals and the Airport Station.

Logan Express
You can get to Back Bay, Braintree, Framingham, Woburn or Peabody through the Logan Express bus service. The bus runs at 20-minute intervals and costs $7.50 for a one-way fare.

Although bicycling is not a public transportation method, it is an easy and cheap way to get to the airport. The Boston Logan airport has bike racks throughout the airport so you can store your bike while you’re away.

Picking Up At BOS
Because of the no-parking policy for curbside pick-ups, the best way to pick up passengers is by going to the arrivals curb when the passenger is ready to jump in the car. Instead of circling through the airport, you can park your car at the Cell Phone Lot until your traveler is ready to be picked up. Then it’s as simple as loading baggage into the car and taking off. From seafood restaurants to fast food chains, you’ll have no shortage of food options inside Boston Logan. There are also many different coffee shop options so you won’t run out of caffeine, regardless of the terminal you’re in.

There’s a children’s play zone in terminals A, B, and C for the little ones to get some energy out and relieve some boredom before a flight. Nursing mothers can find some privacy at the nursing stations as well. Traveling with pets? There are multiple indoor pet relief stations in each terminal.

If you’d like to admire beautiful art while waiting for your flight, Boston Logan has a Public Art Program with exhibitions throughout the airport. The program highlights different talented local artists.

There is also a 9/11 memorial created as a place of remembrance of 9/11. American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, the two planes that were hijacked on September 11, 2001, had flown out of Logan Airport.
